Congratulations to Eric Batten for Earning Athlete of the Month.


Eric has had an incredible journey since joining Williamston CrossFit in August.  Eric has improved his strength, stamina, and endurance.  He has shed pounds and I have to imagine his cholesterol, blood pressure, and heart rates have all improved.  Eric has committed himself to living a healthy lifestyle and he is reaping the rewards.

A few words from Eric:


When did you join WCF:  Joined in August 2017


What do you do when you're not at WC?  Work, work on my food truck project, garden, Netflix binge, hang with family


When did you realize crossfit is right for you?  First week I was hooked


What's your favorite WOD/movement? All of them that do not contain burpees


What's your least favorite WOD/movement? Burpees


What is one thing you have done at WC that you never thought u would do? One thing i have done at WC that I never I thought I would do is a hollow rock. I think it is so cool how the athletes at WC do t2b, kipping, or anything on the rig


What motivates you during a WOD?  Honestly couple different things.   Some time I just need to blow off steam.   Most of the time WC is just so addictive, I just really love working out and pushing myself to be better, and the constant support from all the coaches and athletes, my kids motivate me the most


What is something about yourself we may not know?  I love riding my bike, used to ride my bike to work everyday.   30 mile round trip, Used to do ragbrai in younger days( bike ride across state of Iowa)


What advice would you give someone just getting started with crossfit? Stick with it, its worth it
